K.C. Moore, LISW, MPH
I received my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and my Master’s Degree in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Oklahoma.
I have worked in the private practice setting since 2016, and have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) since that time. Prior to that, I worked as a Mental Health Counselor in a residential PMIC facility, and also in a multitude of school settings providing school based mental health counseling to students and training to educators.
I have experience working with young adults and college students as a crisis advocate for victims of sexual assault and a health educator on college campuses. In my private practice experience, I have enjoyed working on mental health issues across the lifespan, and helping client's work through complex trauma backgrounds.
I use a diverse approach to therapy utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, solution focused, and internal family systems theory with an emphasis on client’s strengths and relationship building.
